Not enough people are talking about how we’re now in the thick of winter (plus the post-holiday blues), and getting dressed might be kind of tough. With the dropping temps (helloooo arctic blast in NYC), we need to dust off the part of our brain that is ready for the layers. I don’t know about you, but sometimes little nuances (like having to re-think an outfit because of the temperatures) really get to me — and ya know what? In 2025, I’m not going to let that ruin my mood while getting dressed. So let’s talk about the idea of an outfit uniform!

I just KNOW I’m not the only one who feels this way, so I thought of the idea to create “uniforms” for the next few months (and you’ll probably need some of these). I thought about the things I do the most of — and the idea of this uniform approach is that technically I’ll always have something to wear. These uniforms can be taken literally or just have fun picking bits and pieces from them based on what I’m feeling that particular day.

My Uniforms:

Weekend Coffee Walk Outfit Uniform

sweater // pants // scarf // bomber // beanie // boots (similar here) // sunglasses (similar) // gloves

There is truly nothing I cherish more than our weekends. I love waking up whenever we feel like it, get ready and go for a long walk to pick up coffee and then head to Central Park with Sal.

The easiest outfit formula for me is layers. I usually opt for a cashmere sweater (with a long sleeve tee under) paired with these pants from Frame. I actually cannot believe how much wear I’ve gotten out of these pants. They are INCREDIBLE, and I really love the way they look with pretty much every shoe I own — especially boots.

I like to pair this simple look with a nice coat or jacket. Here I opted in for my new wool bomber – it’s unlined and super oversized, making it perfect for, you guessed it, LAYERS!
